Now Introducing: Signature Mountain showing where players stack amongst the competition each week!
Base Level: Sitting at the base of the mountain this week we have a handful of players that just didn’t have their mojo, however we do have a surprise appearance from Fo this week! Subbing in for Buster who’s attendance has been slipping as of late gets Fo on the mountain and also drops Buster to the base level, which is rare for a high caliber player. Jake has found himself in somewhat of a slump as of late, and golf has been a complete guessing game. But, look for him to make a climb up the mountain as he and Ryan are paired next week against Jack and Buster which should shake up the base level.
Level One: Moving up the mountain to the first level, we have a mix of players that were half on their game and half off. Cavs struck the ball beautifully all round but found himself chopping down trees on every hole. Being able to hang in there and shoot a 46 was impressive for Cavs given the struggle in the trees and even having the hybrid slip out of his hand and fly into the fishing pond. The Ricotta’s make-up half of level one as the tension against Tommy and Ging all round got the better of them. Rico Sr., coming off one of the best weeks of his life had no laughs, no wine and no cheese this week paired with his son and is requesting Bryce for every week next year. Carding some of their highest scores of the season, the Ricotta pairing may be a once in a blue moon event moving forward!
Level Two: Climbing higher up the mountain we start to reach the pinnacle of league play, where George, Tommy and Bryce sit happily looking down at the players struggling to climb the mountain. Trending positive every week, Bryce has been hitting the ball arguably better than anyone in this league, however distance control got the better of him this week. Having to take 6+ drops from OB he was still able to push the Cav’s and Ryan pairing to the very last hole, and honestly probably deserved the win. Tommy similarly has been trending positive for a while and after coming off a personal best last week was able to sink the tying putt on 9 to push him and Ging into points against the Ricotta pairing. Geo has been seemingly invincible and is on a 5-Week win streak, with his game clicking on all cylinders. Putting & chipping has been his claim to fame, and whoever matches up against Geo should watch out because the man doesn’t accept losing.
Top of the Mountain: Finally, sitting comfortably atop the mountain we have Ryan, with time running out in the league schedule, starting to clear a spot on his trophy shelf. With eyes only on Geo who has been red-hot lately, Ryan is pulling further and further ahead of the pack and is showing no signs of slowing down. Being able to hold off Bryce this week despite losing control of his driver, Ryan was able to pin-seek all around the 9 and stay in cruise control as we move to week 11.
