Week 11

ree

Uh Oh... there is some tightening at the top of the leaderboard as the Bald Eagles are flying together again at the top, right under King Turrisi who is vacationing in the Dominican thinking he is all safe in first place.

Also, as shown in this weeks pic, Rashad ran Rico Sr.'s dream special, Three Little Pigs & Beans! He had to pass on the Timber Chili this week just to try it.

One other note - big congrats to Tommy for being awarded best dressed this week! Commish recognized the fresh dog polo and had to award it, despite Eckl Sr coming with a fresh Hawaiian to compete for the award. Maybe Commish doesn't give it out to subs?

Group 1. Bunting & Rico Jr. [-2]  vs. George & Jack [+2]

After a quick switch in the tee-box order, this group jumped to group 1 to set the tone.. however that tone did not look like a fun one. With Geo begging Vegas to add the hook back, he might have distracted himself and topped the first one off the tee. He wasn't in too much trouble though with Rico sliding his drive off in the weeds. Bunting however must be secretly practicing because that drive has been hot as of late. With an ugly start to the first couple holes, this group was whoever could find a bogey had a chance to win the hole. It wasn't until late team Rico & Bunting began to pour it on and seemingly sealed this one around the par 5 7th, pushing Rico Jr. one game out of the top spot.. but will fellow Bald Eagle Jake open up the door and let him in?

Group 2. Jake & Tommy [+1.5] vs. Cavs Sr. & Ryan [-1.5]

With the tunes going and vibes high this one got off to a neutral start with Commish winning the first somehow followed by Jake and Tommy both going par-par on the 2nd to take it back. With the greens and pins immediately in Commish's head, the gifted Wegmans putter was going to be an issue all round for him. Balanced by Ryan's consistent bogey golf play, the team dared Jake and Tommy to go out an win it, but it wasn't meant to be. As Cavs and Ryan carded a 42 & 43, Jake and Tommy both finished in the high 40s low 50s range in an uncharacteristic round for the both of them, making the coming weeks very interesting.

Group 3. Rico Sr. & Eckl [+2]  vs. Buster & J Ging [-2]

With Buster rattling around in Ecks head after weeks and weeks of matchups against each other, Eck had something to prove this week. After a hard push for Vegas to up the line, his request was denied and had to go out and earn this one. But maybe having dad watching along as the 5th member of the group inspired him, as this one again was decided fairly early around the 7th hole. Maybe the dope was too strong in the Ging cart and took Buster off his game, but as was the case with the top of the leaderboard this week, just didn't have his A-Game. Not to mention, Rico Sr. was itching to get back to shark week and enjoy his soup, so with a quick par on the last he was right off to the dinner area to begin to enjoy his evening!
