Week 7 this year, otherwise known as "Sherri Week" in the league commemorates the life and legacy of Sherri "Sis-Boom-Ba" Sciortino. It's been one year since Sherri left us, and as tradition in the Signature League, we honored her life with a pre-round toast and cracking of cold Keystone Light. We love you and miss you everyday Sher! You would've loved hearing about Jake's outfits every week!

Group 1: Jack & Ryan [+2]  vs. Cavs Sr. & Eckl [-2]

Well, Ryan may be broken. This could have been the ugliest round of golf as a group the league had seen, where double bogeys were pushing holes and there was maybe one par on the card collectively between the 4. Ryan carded his worst round to date at a 53 and on a week where the door was wide open, could not find any sort of rhythm to keep this match within the spread. Pushing the first 4 holes, Cavs and Eckl took over at the par 3 and ended up wining this match by 4 holes. Commish continues to assess the greens each week and is less than pleased with the pin placement.. Josh has turned a cold shoulder to hearing any more of our complaints so we may be out of luck!

Group 2: Anthony & Rico Jr. [-3.5]  vs. Turrisi Sr. & Bryce [+3.5]

A very controversial group this week. Vegas thought this line was fair going into the round but it was made very clear that good golfers and high lines do not mix well. With Anth and Rico both carding rounds around even par, it still wasn't enough to cover the spread of 3.5 against Bryce and Turrisi Sr. Being forced to birdie consitently to win holes is a lot to ask on a 95 degree day! But, the Turrisi Sr. train keeps rolling, getting Bryce his first W of the year and pushing himself further and further away from the pack on the leaderboard. Vegas may hammer Turrisi Sr. in the future to bring him back down to earth.. looking at the recap picture this week we think all these wins are going to his head.

Group 3. Johnny Cavs & J Ging [+5] vs. Jake & Buster [-5]

SaunaLaHim time! Sporting the jerseys and the bongs the Sauna Boys were ready to let it rip against Jake and Buster this week, espeically after calling in and getting their line adjusted a half point in their favor. But, being Sherri week and Jake and Buster paired together, you could've bet the house that they weren't going to lose. Jake and Buster cruised in this one, winning 7 of the 9 holes, although we did get to witness a nice chip-in from Him on the last hole. We don't know what happened, but this round left Johnny and Ging not speaking on opposite sides of the dining room during the dinner portion.. could be too much time together.

Group 4. Rico Sr. & George [-1.5] vs. Tommy & Bunting [+1.5]

In all my weeks of recap writing, usually I have a good amount of ammo to write about each group.. I have no idea what happened in this one. I gave Tommy and Bunting the win, but I'm not even sure that is correct! I think everyone was so hot and ready to eat, this group was rushed off the last green after Rico took 4 approach shots from behind the 18th green! If Rico and Geo won, someone correct me!
